Montea started in 2006 as a small family business, but has since then grown into a huge international enterprise. And, just like any organization of that caliber, technology is simply invaluable for them: “IT plays an important supportive role in pretty much all our processes: from property management and market research to sustainability reporting”, says the IT Manager at Montea. But, because of the limited capacity in their team, they didn’t have the bandwidth to completely execute their IT-strategy by themselves.

“We made the strategic decision a while back to outsource a large part of our IT”, the IT Manager emphasizes. “Nowadays, technological expertise is so broad and difficult to keep up with, that it’s simply better to work with specialized partners.”

Everything starts with a solid base

Cybersecurity was one of the first areas that the IT team at Montea wanted to work on: “That’s among your primary concerns as an IT Manager. Because you absolutely want to be able to guarantee the safety of your environment”, it sounds. So, the team immediately started looking for a suitable partner and quickly found their way to us.

Since then, their security has been running smoother than ever, and we've been helping them out in many other areas as well. But what exactly have we achieved together? And how did we go about it? Let's do a quick rundown of our collaboration:

Security

To arm Montea against the ever-increasing cyber threats, our security colleagues over at SecWise conducted a comprehensive assessment. Based on that, they drew up a detailed step-by-step plan to provide the IT team with a clear, secure, and future-proof security architecture.

Zero Trust-setup

Their devices needed strong and robust security measures. That's why we implemented conditional access policies via Microsoft Intune, according to the Zero Trust principle.

Phishing awareness

In order to minimize incidents caused by human errors, we ran an anti-phishing campaign on Montea's employees. Providing them with a safe learning environment, without risks.

Security Monitoring

It is best to identify security risks as quickly as possible. That is why we set up a Security Operations Center (SOC), which allows us to monitor all events across their entire environment.

The result?

Solid security for Montea’s entire IT environment, from their network and cloud platform to the devices they use every day. Now, they not only enjoy greater digital safety, but also a greater peace of mind.

Azure

Once their cybersecurity was starting to take shape, they also decided to entrust their cloud services to us. “My colleagues and I all have a background in architecture”, says the IT manager. “That's why we still keep a watchful eye over the coordination and strategy of our cloud, but the responsibility for its management now falls entirely to Arxus.” But in this area too, they expect us to take a proactive approach.

Infrastructure

We 're covering everything related to the setup of Montea's Azure environment. This way, we make sure their systems keep running smoothly.

Optimization

To keep up with the latest innovations, we make the necessary suggestions to optimize their cloud infrastructure, both in terms of costs and performance.

Network

To ensure that the employees over at Montea stay connected, anytime and anywhere, the IT Manager counted on our network team. “For us, it was the most logical choice to give Arxus that responsibility too.”

Central management

Our connectivity team revamped their entire infrastructure and merged it into one unified setup, that can be managed from a central location.

International scale

Since Montea operates in several countries, they used to depend on different internet providers for their network. Now they can simply turn to us for all their needs.
