What is Microsoft Intune?

Microsoft Intune is a cloud-based toolset for endpoint management, allowing you to manage the laptops, tablets, smartphones, applications, and users within your organization from a central management platform. That way, you not only ensure that all (mobile, fixed, and virtual) devices with access to your company data meet the highest compliance and security standards, but also that your colleagues can always work safely and productively, both in the office and on the go.

  • Applications

App management has never been easier than with Intune. Thanks to its built-in features, you can implement, configure, update, and secure your external apps and business applications at your own pace.

  • Users

You decide who gets access to which resources and data within your organization. And, when combined with Entra ID, you can also check and manage all user groups, roles, and permissions yourself.

  • Devices

Intune allows you to easily manage all the mobile devices and (virtual) workstations of your users, both inside and outside your organization. Useful for inventory management, essential for cybersecurity.

What are the benefits?

For us, Microsoft Intune is the go-to tool for endpoint management. And we have good reasons for that. From smooth application control and robust security options as a basis to cost efficiency and flexibility from the Microsoft ecosystem: Intune offers reliable solutions for the most burning challenges of endpoint management. But why are you better off choosing Intune? We'll quickly recap our favorite arguments for you:

With Intune being a cloud-native solution, you can easily manage all your business apps and devices from any location. And you can scale up or down in no-time according to your needs, making it a great solution for both small businesses and large enterprises. In short: Intune gives you all the benefits and freedom you'd get in the cloud.

Useful if you have many hybrid workers or distributed teams in your organization.

All Microsoft products are designed to work together. And Intune is no exception. It's perfectly aligned with other tools in the stack, like Microsoft Entra ID, Office 365, and Microsoft Defender. This means you'll not only enjoy a streamlined experience, but it also allows you to centralize the management of your entire Microsoft environment. And that way, you can create a cohesive ecosystem for your organization's entire IT infrastructure.

Also using Microsoft 365 or Azure services? Then Intune is probably included in your subscription, making it a very cost-effective solution.

Aside from powerful security features like data encryption and conditional access, Intune also lets you remotely wipe lost or stolen devices. And, thanks to its integration with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, you get advanced malware detection and automated threat response, keeping your company data out of the wrong hands.

Additionally, you can automatically update and patch your devices via Intune, without manual intervention. And you get access to powerful compliance and reporting features that support the Zero Trust security model.

Intune is not just designed for Windows. On the contrary, it is one of the most powerful tools for managing MacOS computers, iOS devices and Android phones or tablets. That way, Microsoft gives you the freedom to incorporate a wide range of devices with different operating systems into your IT environment, without compromising on security.

Perfect for organizations that are looking for a cross-platform solution.

Looking for a tool to allocate and manage both your business applications (self-developed apps) and your third-party apps within your organization? With Intune, you can easily determine which applications are permitted (or whitelisted) and which are not. And you can also automatically push updates to your devices, keeping everything up to date and ensuring you stay in control.

What's more, you can also quickly give your users access to the tools they need. Because with Intune, you're always on top of the game.

With Intune, you can intricately organize your users and devices according to their specific roles, departments, or other criteria of your choice. This allows you to assign policies to a larger number of users in just a few clicks, making management much more efficient and accurate. It also lets you make changes faster, without having to manage each device separately.

In other words: you not only save time, but also reduce the risk of errors.

Will you manage your apps and devices with Intune too?
