Today Microsoft is taking a major step as part of their Digital AmBEtion Plan. In order to boost the digitalization of Belgian institutions and corporations, Microsoft will be opening 3 data centers in our region. And we played a big part in making that happen. At Arxus, we've been involved in Microsoft's Digital AmBEtion initiative for quite some time. A while back, we started working on the expansion of the Belgian data center region as an “Inside Partner”. And together with Microsoft, we'll be helping to shape these new data centers in the coming months and years.
In order to do this, we'll be applying the latest innovations, like confidential compute and low-latency connectivity. But we are also looking at other scenarios, together with our customers and partners, to accelerate the digitalization of our society as fast as possible.
On launch day, our colleague Jochen Van Gasse spoke with Erik Kerkhofs, Director Commercial Partner at Microsoft, and Dirk Deroost, CEO of De Cronos Groep. They shared their thoughts on this ambitious plan with us.

This year, we celebrated our 15th anniversary. The filling of our birthday cake?
